Three basic welding techniques, each contributing unique capabilities and advantages, are employed at Western Pneumatic. Continuous mill forming and welding of stainless steel hollows in a range of diameters of 2 3/8" to 4 1/2" in wall thickness of .035" to .120" Semi-continuous ring forming and welding for custom production of high volume of thin wall tubing in diameters of 1" to 9" with wall thicknesses of .004" to .050" and lengths to 30 feet. Brake forming for subsequent welding of individual tube lengths in materials, gauges, sizes or quantities not suited to the higher production methods. Tubing from 3/4" to 10" in diameter, in wall thickness to .150" can be produced. Other facilities include hydraulic draw benches for cold drawing, resizing, or shaping and unlimited variety of cross-sectional shapes.
